About Me

I am an architect and amateur photographer living in north Worcestershire. This online portfolio documents some of the photography projects I have undertaken recently. After using a variety of digital cameras in recent years, I have started taking photographs on old, secondhand film cameras again.

Before the advent of digital I used a number of film cameras in the 1980s and 1990s, mainly an Olympus OM-10. I used it to capture images of the people I met and the places I saw when travelling with family and members of my church youth group. By the time I started architecture school, I was using mainly Agfa Chrome slide film and have still have plenty of slides taken in India, Spain and North America as I travelled from country to country exploring the world of architecture.

Now my primary camera is a Bronica SQ-A with either an 80mm or a 150mm lens. However, I occasionally use my Olympus OM-10, an Olympus Trip 35 or a vintage Kodak folding camera. I enjoy taking photos on film, developing and scanning the negatives. My go-to film stock is Ilford HP5 Plus, but I also enjoy using Kodak Ektar 100 and Kodak Portra 400.
